Here we are again.

It’s time to start thinking about setting your goals for the year to come.

Amidst the hustle and bustle of the end of the year, the looming holidays and all the events and catch-ups that seem to appear out of nowhere, it’s in the back of your mind that it won’t be long before you’ll have to come up with the resolutions that will revolutionise your life in the coming year.

You’re about to be bombarded with advertising campaigns that tell you all the things you ‘need’ to be doing to be the best version of yourself in the coming year:

  • “New Year, New You” …
  • Weight loss programs, to make up for all the overconsuming you’ll achieve at Christmas time …
  • Fitness programs, because you need to be stronger, fitter, leaner …
  • Mindfulness programs, because you need to be more mindful …

… and on and on and on it goes.

Have you used the same process to set your intentions every year?

Have a look at how you’ve set your intentions in previous years, and ask yourself a few questions:

  • What process have you used to set your intentions?
  • Have you had roughly the same intentions each year?
  • Have you achieved the intentions that you’ve set?
  • Have you been hard on yourself when you haven’t achieved your intentions?

Don’t stress – it’s not you, it’s the process

It’s highly likely that the reason you haven’t achieved your resolutions is because they weren’t yours anyway. Most of us make intentions based around the things that we’re told we ‘need’ to be doing. Whether it’s our family, our friends or the marketing campaigns, we’re regularly told the things that are wrong about ourselves and the areas we need to work on.

But here’s the issue: whenever we follow what someone else thinks is right or wrong for us, we hand over control of our lives, and in the process we end up living a life that isn’t ours.

Imagine if YOU could direct your life!

Numerology for the year 2020 is 4 (2 + 0 + 2 + 0 = 4). The number four is recognised as the number of foundations, materiality, practicality and prosperity. It represents building doorways and it is the number of work – of getting things done.

That means that 2020 is a year perfectly designed to focus on faith and trust, and to seriously start to create your life based on the perfect solution for YOU, as a unique individual.

Now is the time to acknowledge that the process that you’ve been given to make your resolutions hasn’t served you in the past. Instead, step forwards into a different way of doing things – one that involves less stress and provides you with an easier way to connect with what you truly need and desire.

Join the ‘New Year – Whole You’ Challenge

Make the focus for 2020 the refuelling of yourself, so that you will always have the energy you need to truly enjoy your life.

Instead of trying to be a ‘better’ version of you, focus instead on being the ‘whole’ version of yourself.  You are a unique individual, perfect exactly as you are. You don’t need to be better, you simply need to be whole.

This year, I’d like to invite you to step out of the traditional New Year’s Resolution process and instead make an intention to reconnect with who you truly are. I’ve made it easy for you to start the process of reconnection – simply join the New Year – Whole You challenge and watch your life start to unfold in front of your eyes.

Make 2020 the year you start to purposefully direct your life. To join the challenge head to https://sheiqlife.com/7-steps-email-series and access a host of information, activities and easy to follow steps.
